Abu Al-Maati works as a street vendor in Al-Sad Street after he comes from the countryside. He takes care of the orphan Altaf, who is attached to him. Abu Al-Maati is harassed by Master Ashour who wants him to smuggle food supplies. Abu Al-Maati plays along and seizes the goods for himself.
